The superdome became an evacuation center for near 15,000 people. Until the rood pulled away, bathrooms backed up and flooding started. The super dome, like other evacuation centers was being evacuated themselves.

That folks, is bad. When the evacuation centers are being evacuated. Simply amazing.

The situation is so desperpite people at the super dome developed a bartering system. Trading things like camcorders and extra clothes to people for a bottle of water, or a little extra food. There's looting and fires, no running water, or electricity... or phones. 140 mile per hour winds shreded the town including the super dome....where two giants hole allowed rain to pour over the "refugees" inside......oh by the way this city is fast becomeing atlantas.

80% of the city is under water...... 80% !?!?!?! And, if you have BEEN to New Orleans you know one thing.... it's sourrounded by swamps. Officals are saying the water contains a varity of poisons snakes and could contain crocadiales...

You're shitting me right? Not only are a few thousand people STUCK in the city... but if they try to wander anywhere they brave dangerous WATERS to get there.

In a brief DAY.... s metropalis has been reduced to the worlds largest episode of "Survivor" The universitys have evacuated and the Saints don't have a home game till Oct. But it is possiabled they might not even play a home game.

In hard times human beings always latch onto something that could bring hope, or an escape from what was painfull. That's why Cinderalla man was such a good movie. It focused on a hero to people who had nothing. In a depression where weather he won or lost wouldn't affect weather you'd eat tomarrow, but could will a person to continue to TRY and eat tomarrow.

The people of New Orleans have lost everything that can keep them alive in this normal world. In a world with nothing they will need some sort of "spirital motivation," I can think of no more appropriate home for a team called "The Saints."

While.... it's not likely.... I still hope the Saints can make the playoff sand give the people soem hope.

This season I become a temporary saints fan (never leaving my noble browns). Cheering for them to win as many games as they can.
