The most interesting word in the english language.... "Love"

Simply four letters, and nothing more, but when said, can mean an endless amount of feelings to an endless amount of people.

I think this has been a year where I've been able to see the many shades of love and what it means to people including myself.

Blair and I jokeingly call he pracice "self martyring." Where we sacrfice our happiness for what we feel is the greater good of a situation.

To me and me alone, that is the greatest test of love. Loving someone in my eyes means doing anything and everything for someone else and improving their lives and not burdening it.

And that... sometimes includes letting someone go, and live happily even if it hurts for a little bit. Sarifficing what makes you happy, so that someone else can be happy, much more happy down the road.

So says the man sitting alone in a room going over a photo album of memories and feelings and sacrifices. Looking across my wall at what used to be a blue and gold cladded warrior, who gave up his his health for those feelings of glorious victory and crushing defeate.
This has been a summer for lessons, what is love and what is not.

I guess, to really love you have to really lose, and not just temporaraly for a couple days. I mean, lose it.....

If the game of love is like poker... I'm sitting on a pair of Jacks.
