Political Science have an interesting affect. You study the workings and results of how people did things for thousands of years. How people take one believe, and dedicate life to it weather it be Religion, Freedome, or equality (my department chair said it best: "To understand history, you must first throw out everything reasonable and logical to understand mankind).
I believe a lot... my beliefes are based on many aspects of logic, of faith, of instinct, and of pure simple choice. I believe in much.... but of those beliefes, what am I truely willing to die for?
Soldires fight and die for a cause. Religious fallowers have reasons enough to protect their faith with their own life. So what is it that I TRUELY would die for?
The only answer I can give, "I would die to protect the ones I love." I might die to save a stranger, depends on the circumstance. But I think what has paind me over life enough, is watching when friends suffer.
Last night as I sat in the unequaled embrace of another, all I caould think of was, I must never let any harm come to her. It got me thinking.....that thought had not crossed my mind in such a while. And I realized, I would truely lay down life to protect people around me, to keep them safe and well. Danny, Michelle, Brianne, Blair, Matt, Tom, Lizz, etc etc. There is no doubt.
Patrick Henery said, "Give me liberty of give me death!"
I guess I tweak that for me and say, "Give them liberty, or give me death!"
