"Like a Full Moon in a Darkend sky"

Some find it wishing on a star,
Others find it long ago, away, and far,

It often causes reflections on the past,
It often fails to truely last,

There are those who say it, "dangles on a string,"
There are those say it's a moon on a dark evening,

I feel it when I arise from bed,
And then again when I rest my head,

I use it to help me make it through a life long jam,
I held onto it and came across my Marilyn, my sam,

I finally see it when I look at my reflection,
Knowing there is something more than just complection,

It lies in in our minds, out hearts, and out soul,
That glimmer of light, that unachiveable goal,

We find it with those who'll always be there,
The ones whom we love and do truely care,

We need it to get through the toughest day,
Be it sunny and bright, or cloudy and gray,

Never let them catch you staring at the ground,
Smile and sing like no one is around,

Just keep holding onto that life important rope,
I speak of what drives us all, I speak of hope.
